A Week of Unscripted Wilderness Discovery
From your arrival on Monday to your return home, every day is yours to define. Whether it’s a floatplane fly-out to Brooks Falls for bear viewing, fishing the world-famous Kvichak River, or enjoying a Friday night barbecue on the deck, we provide the ultimate Alaskan schedule.
Monday Day #1
● All guests must arrive at Ted Stephen's International Airport no later than 6:00AM on Monday morning — do not be late as the shuttle will not wait
● At 7:30AM the BAC Transportation shuttle — a mini bus — will pick up all guests from Ted Stephen's International Airport for the ride to Merrill Field Airport, arriving at 8:30AM
● At 9:00AM all guests board Lake & Peninsula Air Service for the flight from Merrill Field to Kokhanok Village Airport, arriving at 10:30AM
● At Kokhanok Village Airport an enclosed cab ATV Side by Side will be waiting to pick up all guests and drive them down to the boat on the beach at Kokhanok Village
● The landing craft enclosed cab boat will load up all guests for a 20 minute boat ride through the water to Bush Pilot Hunter's Retreat Lodge — nestled in a secluded finger cove — where your weekly stay begins
● Get to know the lodge and property — food locations, cabin operations, and boat area
● You can cook and eat whenever you like — the lodge is on your time schedule. Sleep as long as you like. You are here to relax and have a fantastic adventure
● Unpack your clothes and gear in the cabin unit you chose at the time of booking
● Six aluminum boats are outside ready to go — maps are on the wall with all fishing and wildlife viewing locations
● You can go fishing, photography, or just cruise Iliamna Lake on your first evening
● Come back by dark — you have 2 hours after dark. If you do not show up we will come looking for you. All boats have GPS tracking devices
Tuesday Day #2
● It’s the time you been waiting for adventure.
● Make your lunch bring snacks and beverages grab your pole and gear load the boat, life jackets are in the boat.
● It’s a beautiful morning and huge lake to start out your fishing or photography adventure.
● Maps of big fishing locations, bear, moose, caribou viewing areas.
● A lot of finger coves, streams, channel ways, the fish in these areas are coming to spawn.
● Loaded with all your huge salmon and big fat rainbow trout.
● Don’t forget that camera it’s a photography paradise in this prehistoric location.
● The night calls of the loons are enough to realize it’s paradise.
● Just remember when you come back and done with the boat at the end of the day to refill the gas tank.
● Time to sit on the deck till its bedtime and soak it all in.
Wednesday Day #3
● Bear viewing at the Brooks Falls
● Floatplane leaves at 6am to beat the rush and lines to get onto the bear viewing platforms so make sure you have everything you need so you can just load up and take off when the Floatplane arrives.
● The flight to the Brooks is memorizing, beautiful, epic scenic mountains and fantastic glacier views.
● Once at the Brooks the pilot will take you to the bear viewing platform for your 3 hour stay for all your photography picture taking.
● There’s a restaurant at the Brooks with fantastic food if you decide to have some lunch, but remember the Brooks restaurant is Not included in your package deal.
● The restaurant accepts all major credit cards for payment.
● Once its time to go you will load up in the floatplane for your flight back to the lodge.
● Once you get back to the lodge you can do what you want.
● There games outback horse shoes pickleball, badminton, Archery range, and gun range, pole table in the main lodge.
Enjoy the rest of your day till bedtime.
Thursday Day #4
● It’s the time you been waiting for adventure.

Friday Day #5
● Today is your fly-out fishing day — included in your $16,000 package at no extra charge
● Floatplane departs the lodge at 6AM — be ready to load up and go
● You have a choice of two world class destinations — let lodge staff know your preference the night before:
Option 1 — Kvichak River — Sockeye Salmon
One of the world’s greatest rivers for Sockeye Salmon — millions of fish push through this river during peak season. You will spend approximately 4 hours on the river before your return flight back to the lodge.
Option 2 — Nushagak River — King Salmon
Home to the world’s most premier and largest King Salmon runs. The Nushagak is world famous among serious salmon anglers for the sheer size and volume of King Salmon that run through it. Approximately 4 hours on the river before your return flight.
● Both destinations are included — no extra charge
● Friday night barbecue cookout on the deck when you return — music, drinks, and great food
Saturday Day #6
● Back to the boats for more fly fishing, bear, moose, caribou, walking down the gravel lake bank viewing and enjoy the beautiful scenic views of this lake area.
● Don’t forget your lunch.
● Saturday night take a boat tour on the lake.
● It’s a huge lake 77miles long 22 miles wide and a 1000foot deep, so you can get lost real easy but take your time and just cruise around.
Sunday Day #7
● Well the last day should be the best day.
● A day to sit on the deck maybe for a few hours quiet time or take a walk down the gravel lake bank.
● But its your last day to jump in that boat get your fly rod or camera and get to fishing and pictures taking.
● We like everyone to be back with the boats at the lodge by 5pm so we can get all the boats cleaned up.
● All your fish packaged up and ready to go on your flight out on Monday.
● Sunday nights time to kick back soak it all up stay up till dark relax listening to call of the loons on the deck.
● Talking to your new friends you made the week you were all together at the lodge.
Monday Morning Return Home
● All guests must have boats back at the lodge and all gear packed and ready by 5:00AM
● The landing craft enclosed cab boat departs the lodge at first light for the 20 minute boat ride back to the beach at Kokhanok Village
● The enclosed cab ATV Side by Side will be waiting at the beach to transfer all guests back to Kokhanok Village Airport
● Lake & Peninsula Air Service departs Kokhanok Village Airport back to Merrill Field Airport in Anchorage — arriving in Anchorage with your vacuum sealed frozen fish packed and ready
● From Anchorage you connect to your flight home from Ted Stephen's International Airport
BUSH PILOT HUNTERS RETREAT LODGE
Your boat ride leaves at 9.45am back to Kokhonak Village Airport. Then your next flight is back to anchorage on Lake & Peninsula Flying Service, where you then get onto your flight back home.
